Benefits of the Emergency First Aid at Work course

Improved workplace safety

Learners will be trained in several different types of emergencies which means that medical incidents are more likely to be managed promptly and appropriately, reducing the chance of harm worsening and avoiding more serious medical complications.

Faster and more confident response to medical emergencies

Learners will build the confidence and competence to act decisively, rather than hesitate or wait which can be the difference between life and death in critical situations, reducing reliance on external medical responders in those crucial early moments.

Better compliance and risk management

Providing staff with certified first aid training demonstrates a strong commitment to due diligence, which is valued during audits, inspections and for meeting legal or regulatory requirements.

Reduced severity of injuries

By knowing how to correctly handle several types of injuries such as wounds, bleeding, burns, etc. it means that many injuries can be contained or stabilised quickly, preventing worse outcomes.

Better risk awareness and preventative behaviour

The modules on what is first aid, legislation and responsibilities help individuals to not only respond, but to also be more aware of hazards, leading to proactive identification of risks.

Be able to manage less common emergencies

This course includes information on less common emergencies, such as seizures, so learners will be better prepared to support individuals, reducing inappropriate responses and improving safety for vulnerable people in the workplace.

Who is this course suitable for?

This 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed for anyone in a workplace who may be required to respond to injuries or medical emergencies before professional help arrives. It is particularly useful for designated first aiders or employees tasked with emergency responsibilities, though it also welcomes any staff member who wants to gain the skills and confidence to administer first aid safely and effectively.

A Special Mention

"I wanted to say a huge thank you for the 2 day restraint training you provided. As a parent I found it so comforting and reassuring to be trained with my son’s new staff team. Hearing how much emphasis was placed on values really impressed me. As did the training which really looked at avoiding having to use restraint. The training was really able to be tailored to the individual needs of my son which was incredibly helpful for all his new staff who I believe came away with a really deep knowledge of his triggers and how to de-escalate him.

I would recommend it to any parent in the position of their young person moving into supported living. Not only was it a great way to start building relationships with his staff but it was incredibly reassuring to know that the care company are really invested in finding the right training which focuses on treating their service users as people and want staff with the right values working with him. I can’t thank you enough for letting me attend. I know that some trainers would find it difficult training parents along side staff because it could have the potential to alter the dynamics so I’m really delighted you allowed me the opportunity.

A huge thank you from a very reassured mum!"
