This course imparts knowledge and practical skills necessary to administer basic first aid to an injured individual.
The course encompasses primary survey, secondary assessment, top-to-toe survey, recovery position, and resuscitation. Additionally, it covers various types of bleeding, hypovolemic shock, bleeding from orifices, minor injuries, burns, amputations, and foreign objects, which ensures all learners are given the information needed to administer first aid effectively and safely to any individual.
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed for anyone in any workplace setting to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to recognise, act and support individuals in the workplace who may require first aid. The course will cover a variety of different topics including what is first aid, legislation, responsibilities and how to administer first aid effectively and safely for a range of different scenarios.
This course is suitable for individuals who wish to learn first aid for workplace settings, to upskill the workforce or for designated first aiders.
This classroom based training course explores various aspects of first aid in the workplace in 15 different modules, beginning with what first aid is, and the legislation and responsibilities surrounding it, before leading on to various different first aid scenarios.
As a learner you will gain valuable insight into your responsibilities as a first aider and gain practical skills to administer basic first aid to an injured individual.
Upon completion of The Emergency First Aid at Work course, learners will receive a FAA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF).
There is an additional accreditation cost of £8.80 per learner – this cost provides each learner with course materials and accredited certification
