If you are a designated workplace first aider, or training to be one, our course has been designed for those who are taking on first aid responsibilities at work, from dealing with minor wounds to responding in life‑threatening situations.
Responding to injuries and illnesses isn't just about knowing how to administer first aid. This course will teach the key skills and qualities you need to ensure you remain calm under pressure and know how to communicate effectively, whether that's giving clear instructions or reporting incidents accurately.
Being a workplace first aider requires empathy, compassion and patience. By completing this course you will be better prepared to respond calmly and confidently to medical emergencies in the workplace. It supports the development of a safety-first culture, where staff feel empowered to act quickly, support colleagues in distress, and understand their responsibilities in keeping others safe. This helps promote a proactive, well-prepared environment that prioritises health, wellbeing, and compliance with workplace safety standards.
It is especially relevant for staff in organisations where there is a higher risk of injuries, or where more serious incidents may occur due to the nature of the work, environment, or workforce.
